From roughly 2015 onward, psychophysiology and neuroscience provide increasingly specific tests of mechanisms; by 2020 selected mechanisms are causally manipulated; by 2024 they are being used as intervention targets. The evidentiary chain to durable behavioral or forensic effectiveness remains incomplete and must be mapped intervention by intervention.
