Impact VR is an Arche XR/VCU intervention relevant to conduct disorder, CU traits, aggression and socioemotional mechanisms. Fanti is publicly listed as an Arche XR Research Scientist and has a longstanding collaboration with founder Nicholas Thomson, but Fanti is not an author on the located Impact VR efficacy papers.
Trial
110 youth with conduct disorder randomized to Impact VR or an active/treatment control, with post-intervention and 3-month follow-up assessments.
Reported outcomes across peer-reviewed papers
- lower self- and caregiver-reported CU traits at follow-up;
- lower caregiver-rated conduct problems;
- immediate and sustained reduction in reactive aggression;
- no significant difference in proactive aggression;
- improved total emotion-recognition accuracy, including fear, sadness and anger recognition;
- stronger peer and parent relationships;
- lower social stress at 3 months.
